What Is Intrapreneurship And How It Can Be Life-Changing For You

Have you ever asked a question – what is intrapreneurship?

Similarly, you could have wondered what is the difference between entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship?

For that reason, let’s look at it closer.

Imagine… you want to become an entrepreneur, but you enjoy your job.

While this may be true, you work in a corporate environment but continually think of entrepreneurial endeavors.

But you can’t figure out how.

The good news is…

You don’t have to quit your job.

Because there exists a better alternative and it’s a suitable direction without taking many risks.

Introduction To What Is Intrapreneurship

In general,

while browsing the internet, you can find a couple of contents that describe the relationship between intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship.

Let me explain more with my own experience.

In my current position, which shows me a cash flow business model within a larger financial organization, I incline towards the path of intrapreneurship.

For the same reason, you will also understand what skills you can leverage to become an intrapreneur.

Skills That You Can Leverage To Become an Intrapreneur

Now I want you to grab a sheet of paper.

The relationship between intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship

Do you have it?

Why I want you to grab a sheet of paper is because I want you to draw two circles next to each other.

One of them represents entrepreneurial skills.

And the second describes intrapreneurial skills.

Now, focus what’s in the middle of these two skill sets.

And think about it deeply, what these two roles could have in common.

Do you get it?

Write it down.

The answer?

“Both as an entrepreneur and as an intrapreneur are intelligent and leadership roles.”

Unlike an entrepreneur that has comprehensive responsibility for the business, an intrapreneur doesn’t need to take much risk.

So let’s talk about what’s the essence of an intrapreneur.

The Essence Of Being an Intrapreneur

Get this:

“If you want to be a true intrapreneur, your goal has to be to figure out how to go from being a valuable “Technician” employee to a strategic “Extraordinary” employee as an intrapreneur.”

Now, of course, the question is, how you can achieve that?

First and foremost, you need to have the right mindset.

You have to make your genuine decision that this is exactly what you want to achieve within your organization where you work.

And once you’ve cracked it and made a wise decision, there are two ways of taking action.

1. Begin Innovating Within Your Existing Organization

In other words, you have to leverage your valuable elite skills with company resources to innovate and launch new services, products with business units to increase net profit

Listen to me what I said:

Innovate in order to increase “net profit” because it leads me to the second point.

2. Involve Yourself In Company Cash Flow

In other words, contribute to sales and become a money rainmaker.

I know, you’re probably skeptical, aren’t you?

Let me tell you a secret…

“If you want to become an intrapreneur, it is important to apprentice yourself to someone who would teach you the system of how the company generates sales and profits.”

Then you can understand the customer journey deeper, leverage your and company resources to innovate, and most importantly generate a net profit.

And it means this.

In both innovation and sales contribution, you’ve got an entrepreneurial mindset.

You see, it circles back to the mindset which I teach and I talk on my channel.

Because the right millionaire mindset is how to get started.

I call it 7 Wealth Stages (formerly 7 Golden Rules).

7 Wealth Stages

Because it helps to transform Doers like you to a higher level within seven life stages.

That means…

  • developing your wealth mindset first,
  • then earning elite skills that are the entryway to your financial abundance through intrapreneurship and investing.

Yet, do you want to be an intrapreneur?

If so, let’s have a look at intrapreneurial skills…

Intrapreneurial Thriving Skills

In fact, as an intrapreneur, you need to control a handful of skills to thrive.

For example:

  • Make organizational changes,
  • Deal with multiple objectives,
  • Lead a team, and manage their work,
  • Control business units with key stakeholders to assess and manage risks.

Now, can you sense what all these skills have common?

This is very important.

And if you should remember just one thing from this video, get this:

“These skills enable you to LEVERAGE company resources, networks, budget, business ideas, and contacts.”

You see, it’s powerful because you act like an entrepreneur but within the organization.

And the best part?

Intrapreneurs increase…

  • recognition,
  • understand the power of leverage,
  • seek opportunities,
  • and develop intelligent leadership skillset.

Notice that it usually happens with little of the risks, as you as an entrepreneur would have to overcome on your own.

But you know what else?

Here’s something you probably don’t know.

The Right Intrapreneur Is an Extraordinary Value To The Company

The right intrapreneur is an extraordinary value to the company

Believe me or not, the right intrapreneur is an extraordinary value to the company.

And in return, it could lead to outstanding compensation together with benefits and a small portion of equities.

So tell me, do you work in an enterprise grade-level company environment but would love to thrive?

If yes, I encourage you to go to talk to your manager or to the CEO to share with them your determination.

You must communicate effectively and explain either your perception to generate new ideas or how to sell more products or services to the market.

“Because you don’t want to be a technician employee to listen to orders and work from 9 to 5. Life is too short to listen to someone else who dictates what you can or can’t do.”

So tell me again, what is your decision between entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship?

Am I showing you the right direction?

Or, do you continually prefer to get started as an entrepreneur?

Then, let me ask you this:

Are you able to fund your project as an entrepreneur?

Or are you able to bring to the board angel investors?

If not, do you want to know the truth?

Your idea will not be born without capital.

But as an intrapreneur within an organization where you work and because of their resources, your idea could become a reality faster.

Think about it strongly…

Time To Take Massive Action

So again, it’s not necessary to quit your job and become an entrepreneur.

Because it exists a better, less risky way to pursue your entrepreneurial spirit like an intrapreneur.

And who knows you might end up as an entrepreneur later on, and that’s absolutely ok.

So that’s all about intrapreneurship today.

But one more thing that I want to share with you…

If 7 Wealth Stages resonate with you, then you found your gem.

Because I speak essentially to people, Doers – like you who work at an enterprise grade-level company but would love to thrive to a higher level within an organization.

That’s the primary reason why I want you to realize that being a Doer is not just being an action taker.

The whole of Doer’s endeavor goes through seven life stages of wealth.

Because I want you to be a Doer.

Now it’s your turn.

So where do you belong to?

Are you already an entrepreneur or an intrapreneur?

Or are you going to ignite your endeavor as an intrapreneur?

Put in a comment below work  “intrapreneur” to let us know, you are a real Doer.

And I will see you next week.
